Avishkar Research Convention
The knowledge based society is transforming to a society of innovation and research is underlying need of innovation. Thus, research is a key component of today’s education. It is important to reveal the unknown and unexplored talent and innovative ideas of stakeholders in academia. To give a platform for innovations, the then, His Excellency, the Governor of Maharashtra and the Chancellor of the Universities in the State of Maharashtra, Hon’ble Shri. S.M. Krishna initiated Avishkar Research Convention in the academic year 2007-2008. The convention is designed with the intention to develop a research culture and scientific temper among the students, scholars and teachers from under-graduate to doctoral level in the state of Maharashtra. Avishkar helps to develop research skills, investigate new dimensions of explored areas of knowledge and unveil the new areas.
The undergraduate (UG), post graduate (PG), post PG students and teachers perusing Ph.D. can participate in this research convention.
The research and development cell along with guiding teachers encourages participation of UG and PG students, conducts mock round and suggests improvements in the research project undertaken by the students for Avishkar.
Our college has hosted the district level inter-collegiate rounds of Avishkar for three consecutive academic years from 2014-15 to 2016-17.
District level inter-collegiate Avishkar Research Convention 2016-17, Mumbai University, was hosted by our college on Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
