About Us
The Department of Sports was established under University of Mumbai, in year 2005-2006, which is one of the top universities in the world. The Department of sports is established in order to create, resourceful and eminent Teachers and Masters in the field of sport. Since its inception, this Department has successfully produced many Teachers and Masters, who are currently serving in various field of Sport.
Our college facilitate excellent infrastructure to experience a healthy academic atmosphere highly qualified and talented faculty to impart practical and theoretical knowledge effectively. Our college organizes unique programs and opportunities for students to explore their potential.

To achieve this Mission the college provides:
• To enable prospective teacher educators to understand the nature, purpose and philosophy of Physical Education.
• To develop competencies necessary for Physical training and coaching.
• To develop knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for imparting Physical Education.
• To enrich knowledge of personal and community health.
• To promote the capacity to organize games, sports and recreational activities.
• To promote knowledge of sports medicine and physiotherapy.
• To foster interest in Physical Education and appreciate its role in school and society.
• To prepare for evolving stage specific curriculum, pedagogy and evaluation techniques in Physical Education.
• To develop an understanding and appreciation of indigenous approach to Physical Education, exercise, games and sports.

Computer Lab :-
Department computer lab is provided with 20 computers with internet connections and LCD projector.
Library :-
The Department library has more than 200 books of Physical Education and allied subjects. More than 100 Journals are available to students and Faculty for ready reference.
Facilities for Indoor Games:
01 set of Table Tennis, 05 Carom boards, 12 Chess boards, etc.
Carom is played in the gymnasium hall while Chess is played in open space in front of administration building.
Sports Ground
The College has a large sports ground. It is simultaneously used for a number of games. The sites of the grounds are arranged in such a way that the students enjoy various sports activities at a time.
The Ground (92.52 X 176.91 = 163 176.91 = 16367.7132 Sqr. Mtr) is used for:
Track events: 400 meters six lane running track
Field events: Long Jump pit, High Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw and Javelin Throw
Outdoor sports:
Two Cricket Cement pitches for better practice, Volley ball, Hand ball, Football filed with international dimensions, Kabaddi, Tug-of-War.
The Sports Committee looks after the maximum utilization of the ground and other facilities by the students. The department provides essential coaching to the students participating in intercollegiate competitions. The local players as well as the experts are temporarily appointed for training. The participants receive the sport kit while representing the college in competitions. The college also provides TA and DA to the students participating in the competitions.
